Founded and managed by Registered Nurses since 2001, our recruiting staff has over forty years of experience in the nursing industry. We are Joint Commission certified as a Health Care Staffing Agency and have the knowledge and resources necessary to find the best-qualified health care professionals to fill your needs!
We have been placing nurses and allied health providers in both per diem positions and short-term and long-term contracts for more than 9 years. Our Recruiters recruit healthcare professionals through advertisements and referrals. Each candidate is subjected to skills testing, background and drug screening, license verification, and multiple reference checks. We heavily rely on the references given by our current employees and the managers of medical facilities. Furthermore, we monitor the performance of our healthcare providers by obtaining feedback from the medical facility. In order to meet our minimum qualifications, each health care professional requires two years of experience in their specialty, although the majority of the professionals we place vastly exceed our two year requirement. Star Nursing, Inc. is therefore able to deliver the most experienced and competent healthcare providers to your facilities.

We have offices in the Santa Clara, Riverside and Folsom, California and in Houston, Texas and Central Florida. Our staffing offices are open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for the benefit of our clients. Our mission is to place the best and most qualified healthcare providers in medical and correctional facilities where their expertise is needed. We currently staff Kaiser Medical Centers throughout California, as well as Alameda County Medical Center, Tenet hospitals in Central and Northern California, Watsonville Community Hospital and Los Gatos Community Hospitals. We also have contracts with the State of California Department of Corrections, W. O. Moss Regional Medical Center, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Centers in Shreveport, Monroe, and Pineville, Louisiana, Leonard J Chabert Medical Center in Houma, Louisiana, Arizona State Veterans Home, Arizona State Hospital, Arizona Southwest Regional Juvenile Correctional Complex, Arizona Department of Human Services, Harris County Texas Hospital District, the COmmonwealth of Pennsylvania and several private Hospitals. We provide nurses to a variety of units—Level I Trauma Unit, ER, ICU, CCU, TCU, Telemetry, NICU, PICU, PACU, OR, L&D, PP, Pediatrics, Med/Surg, Psych and Rehab as well as to outpatient clinics and skilled nursing facilities.
We recruit nurses from all over the country but especially in areas where we have contracted facilities and employ nurses from 34 different states. We have a 90% fill rate (ratio of requests to nurses provided) and provide nurses on short notice as well as late calls.
